Why I Started Sweet Commercial Roofing
I spent 22 years in commercial flat roofing working for other companies. Warehouses, medical office parks, strip malls, manufacturing facilities, and multi-tenant complexes across Alabama. I have seen every failure mode a flat roof can develop and learned to find them fast.
What I noticed over those 22 years is that the biggest problems in this industry are not technical. They are commercial.
Too many roofing contractors take commercial flat roof work because the contract sizes are large, not because they specialize in flat systems. A property manager ends up with a crew that knows shingles and does not understand why a low-slope membrane seam behaves differently under ponding water. The repair holds through the dry months. Then the next heavy rain comes and the call goes out again.
I have watched property owners pay twice for the same problem more times than I can count. Once to the contractor who missed it. Once to someone who actually found it.

I believe a commercial property owner should never be handed off to someone they have not met.
When I take on your roof, I assess it myself. I write the scope. My crews install it. I inspect the completed work. The person who walked your roof is the same person responsible for the result.
I do not subcontract my core crews. I do not do residential work on the side. Commercial flat systems are what I know, and they are all I do.
If your roof needs repair and a repair will not actually solve the problem, I will tell you before you spend the money. A failed repair does not just cost you the repair invoice. It costs you time, it costs you tenant relationships, and if your system is under warranty, repeated leaks that go unresolved can create documentation problems you do not want. I would rather have that hard conversation now.
